Cromwell Grove

If your family isn’t spending quite as much time together as they used to, it could be time for a spatial rethink. Change your backdrop and strange things come about – as they did here. By taking out internal walls, linking front to back, letting the light in, and adding the odd pop of colour, we’ve given both parents and teenagers a welcoming, sociable space to come back together. (And we hope they’ll now live happily ever after.)

"George and James Architects carried out our basement renovation with an assured and modern touch. The judgment of proportion and layout was spot on as well as their guidance on how to maximize and brighten a rather dark and low ceilinged space. We are delighted with the result which has transformed our living space and given our home a new lease of life."
